What do I do about slutshaming during a workplace investigation?

What do I do to investigate slut-shaming? So, it’s been my experience that people who are experiencing slut-shaming… First of all, you need to of course get the reporting party to define what they mean by that. But generally, the idea that somebody’s sexual activities are not in align with cultural expectations would be a bit of a definition of slut-shaming. I guess, notably that they are engaging in more sexual activities then culturally expected. But people tend to act like it’s a nuanced allegation. And so, a lot… It’s happened that reporting parties come forward and they act like there’s so much nuance about it.

But at the end of the day, they’re… Somebody’s sexual activity with their own body has nothing to do with the workplace. So, even if you work in a sexual wellness space, the sexual activity of your own body, or another employee’s own body, is not something that’s supposed to come into the workplace. And so, if somebody is commenting on another employee’s sexual activity, whether it’s complementing or criticizing it, it’s inappropriate in the workplace because it’s not related to the work activity. And so, again, I feel like reporting parties act like there might be a bit of nuance and explaining it to me, but it actually, for me, tends to be a more straight forward topic to investigate.
