Land Acknowledgement Statement :: Treaty Oak ELG's Statement

November 5, 2021

Today Treaty Oak ELG is rolling out the firm’s Land Acknowledgement Statement:

We give special thanks to the Jumanos, Tonkawa, Lipan Apache, Coahuiltecan, Wichita, and Comanche people and all Indigenous Peoples and communities whose land now supports our office building. We give thanks to them and express our gratitude for their wisdom on how to live a life that is balanced. We acknowledge historical failures to see the humanity of all peoples and to share land and community. Help us to learn from past mistakes and be instruments of justice and peace for all people in today’s world as we seek to build a just community of right relationships.
